Royston "Roy" brings 54+ years of experience to the market place - having worked at executive level in 3 keys areas of the freight and logistics market i.e. Multi-national freight forwarding, major Airline and the development of global freight networks.

Background UK : Roy was born in Church Village, Cardiff, South Wales, UK and started his career path as an apprentice with a London Heathrow freight forwarder (DHL/Air Wingate). He worked for other prominent freight companies in UK before joining Singapore Airlines Cargo (SIA) as a sales executive covering the midlands region in England before attaining the top post of SIA Cargo Sales and Service Manager UK & Ireland.

Background USA : In 1982 he was head hunted and moved to the USA where he held C-Suite roles with some of the largest multinational forwarders namely: Air Express International-AEI (today DHL), BAX Global (today DSV) and Geologistics (today DSV/Agility) before entering the "Logistics Network" industry.

Roy is the only Founder/ President of any logistics network with a high level of experience in Freight Forwarding and working for one of the major airlines in cargo. His experience has embraced both operations and sales at the highest level.

In 2001 through the end of 2022 Roy established 2 networks, co-founding GLN (203 members) and in 2015 started his own wholly owned network Elite Global Logistics Network (EGLN) and grew it from zero to 459 members in 143 countries with annual aggregate revenue exceeding $8.0 Billion. In 2022 they were purchased by the world's largest network WCA who has 3,850+ members in 193 countries.

Roy continues to be active in the industry as an advisor and remains a respected figure in the global logistics community.
