I retired from full time work at the end of 2020 but I am available for advisory/consultancy roles in the Logistics industry.

I bring 52+ years of experience to the market having worked at executive level in 3 keys areas of the logistics market i.e. Multi-national freight forwarders, major Airline and development of global freight networks.

Background 

Roy was born in Church Village, Cardiff, South Wales, UK and started his career path as an apprentice with a London Heathrow freight forwarder 1968. He worked for other prominent freight companies in UK before joining Singapore Airlines Cargo (SIA) as a sales executive covering the midlands region in England before attaining the post of SIA Cargo Sales and Service Manager UK & Ireland.

 In 1982 he moved to the USA and held VP/Director roles with some of the largest multinational forwarders namely: Air Express International-AEI (today DHL), BAX Global (today DB Schenker) and Geologistics (today Agility) before entering the "Logistics Network" industry. Roy was the only Founder/ President of any logistics network with high level experience in Freight Forwarding and working for one of the major airlines in cargo. His experience has embraced both operations and sales/marketing at the highest level. 

 In 2003 through end of 2020 Roy established 2 networks, starting GLN (300+ member) and started his own wholly owned network EGLN with 400 members and upon retirement they were purchased by the world’s largest network World Cargo Alliance (WCA) who has 4,000 members in 190 countries. WCA is managed by the well-respected founder - David Yokeum. 

 Roy has a passion for football and supports Manchester United FC. He lives in New Jersey, USA and has dual UK & USA citizenship.
